Season-end banquet and league awards

A banquet is the one night a season gets looked back on in a single room: the champions in each class, the riders or players who turned up every round, and the coaches, volunteers and sponsors who kept the calendar running. The awards are what people carry out of that room.

Most banquet programmes need three tiers, and they are easier to order together than one at a time:

  • Championship pieces for overall and class champions — the awards that should read differently from everything else on the table.
  • A coordinated podium set sharing one design, with only the class and placing changing.
  • Recognition for the rest of the roster — coaches, MVPs, most improved, volunteers and team participation. Medallions and plaques reach everyone without competing with the podium budget.

There is no minimum order, so a small club banquet with a handful of awards is as normal an order as a league with every age group.

Plan the order backwards from the banquet date

Season-end orders go wrong for one reason more than any other: the standings are only final shortly before the banquet, and the whole order waits for them. Separate what can be decided early from what cannot.

  1. Fix the date the awards must be in your hands. Not the banquet date — the day you need them so they can be counted, sorted by presentation order and staged.
  2. Settle the award list early. Classes, placings and special awards are usually decided well before the final round, so the design and the count do not have to wait for final standings. Bulk ordering for events covers the count.
  3. Send artwork and approve the proof. League, club or company logo, the event or season name, the year and any sponsor marks. The design proof comes back for approval before anything is produced.
  4. Confirm the lead time against your date. It depends on the order and the time of year, so ask rather than assume — how far in advance to order lists the questions worth asking.
  5. Confirm delivery. Name the person who receives the boxes and checks them against the list. Shipping awards without delays covers the handover.

Is there a minimum order for banquet awards?

No. A single award for one honoree is a normal order, and so is a full set for every class and age group.

How far ahead should we order end-of-season awards?

Start as soon as you know the date the awards must be in your hands and roughly how many you need. Lead times depend on the order and the time of year, so contact us for the current lead time against your date, and see how far in advance to order for how to work backwards from it.

Do you design the awards?

Yes. Send the league, club or company name, any logo and the award list, and we send a design proof for approval before anything is produced. Design is free.
