Plaque of Appreciation Wording: Examples and Template

A plaque of appreciation thanks someone for something they chose to give: time, money, expertise or years of loyalty. Unlike an award for winning, there is no result to engrave, so the wording carries the whole meaning. That is why generic appreciation plaques fall flat, and why a single specific line can make one worth keeping.

Below is a template, then wording for the people organizations most often thank.

2. Name: a person, a couple, a family or a company.
3. What for: the specific contribution, stated plainly.
4. Impact line (optional): what it made possible.

What is the difference between an appreciation plaque and a recognition plaque?
