Sales Awards & President’s Club Awards
Top performer, President’s Club and region of the year awards
Short answer
Sales awards recognize measurable results: the top seller, everyone who reached a target, the best region, the strongest first year. We make them to order in layered acrylic, wood and metal, printed with your logo and each winner’s name, in sets where the tiers are easy to tell apart at a glance. Typical orders combine one top award, a matched set for club qualifiers and a perpetual for the winning region or team. There is no minimum order, and a design proof is sent for approval first.

Two kinds of sales award, and why they need different pieces
Sales recognition splits into awards that are ranked and awards that are earned by threshold. They behave differently, and the awards should too.
- Ranked awards have one winner: Salesperson of the Year, top account executive, number one region. There is a single piece, it should be the most impressive thing on the table, and it carries a name and a year.
- Threshold awards go to everyone who reached a mark: President’s Club, quota achievers, a revenue milestone. There may be five or fifty of them. They should be identical to one another, clearly related to the top award, and a clear step below it.
Plan both as one family. The simplest way is one design in two or three sizes, or one outline with more layers and a metal element added as the level rises. The perpetual in the photograph here is a region of the year award: a layered acrylic logo on top, a champion plate on the front and year plates on the side.
Sales awards we build

Salesperson of the year
One custom piece for the top result, taller and more dimensional than anything else presented.

President’s Club
A matched set for every qualifier, with the year prominent so the awards read as a series on a shelf.

Region or team of the year
A perpetual with name plates that moves to the winning office each year, with a keeper for the team.

Rookie of the year
For the best first year. Related to the top award in design, smaller in scale.

Milestone and quota awards
Plaques or desk awards for reaching a revenue mark or a number of years at target.

Club pins
A pin for each year in the club, worn at the kickoff. Small, and often the piece people value most.
Building a President’s Club award people collect
President’s Club is an annual award that the same people often win repeatedly, which makes it unusual: a ten-time qualifier will end up with ten of them in a row. Design for that row.
- Keep the shape, change the year. A consistent outline with the year as the dominant element makes a shelf of them read as an achievement in itself.
- Or change one element each year. The same form with a different color or artwork per year, which keeps the series collectible.
- Mark repeat qualifiers. A different base, an added layer or a metal plate for a fifth or tenth qualification gives long-term members something new to earn.
Because the design can be reordered with only the names and year changed, the series stays consistent however many years it runs. Semi-custom awards suit a large qualifier set, and custom awards suit the top piece.
What to put on a sales award
Sales awards are the one kind of employee award where the result is already measured, which tempts people to engrave the number. In most cases, leave it off.
- Put on: the award name, the winner’s name, the year or period, the company logo, and the region or division if there is more than one.
- Leave off: revenue figures, percentages of quota and rankings below first. Figures are confidential in many companies, they look smaller with every passing year, and they are the detail most likely to be disputed.

For a team award, name the team and list the members if the piece has room. Employee award wording includes more sales examples.
Ordering for a kickoff when results close late
Sales awards have a timing problem that other awards do not: the winners are not final until the period closes, and the kickoff or awards dinner often follows soon after.
The way around it is to separate the design from the names. Request the quote and settle the design while the year is still running, with the tiers and the likely quantities. Tell us the event date and when results close, and we will quote against it and tell you when the names are needed. When the results are final, send the names as a spreadsheet.
A perpetual for the top region is covered in perpetual trophies, and the wider questions of running a recognition program are on corporate awards. If part of the sales team is remote, awards for remote and hybrid teams covers shipping awards to home addresses. More guides are in the Recognition Library.
Sales Awards & President’s Club Awards FAQs
What are common sales awards?
Salesperson of the year, President’s Club, rookie of the year, region or team of the year, quota or revenue milestone awards and most improved. Most sales teams combine one ranked award with one threshold award.
What is a President’s Club award?
An award given to every salesperson who reaches a set target in a year, as opposed to a single winner. Because many people qualify repeatedly, the awards are usually designed as a series with the year prominent.
Should a sales award show the sales figure?
Usually not. Revenue figures are often confidential and they date quickly. The award name, the winner’s name, the year and the region are enough.
Can you make awards in different tiers that match?
Yes. A common approach is one design in several sizes, or one outline with layers or metal elements added at higher levels, so every tier is clearly part of the same family.
Can we approve the design before we know the winners?
The design can be settled while the year is still running. Give us the event date and when results close when you request the quote, and we will tell you when the names are needed.
Is there a minimum quantity for a sales award order?
No. One top-performer award is a normal order, and so is a full President’s Club set.

Set the design now and send the names later
Send your logo, the award names, the tiers and rough quantities. We will design the set and send a proof before anything is produced.
Include the event date and when results close, and we will quote against it.
