Tennis Trophies

Custom awards for club championships, tournaments, leagues and ladders, designed around your club’s own crest

Short answer

Tennis awards are few and personal: a champion and a finalist in each draw, with doubles needing a pair of each. A club championship adds a perpetual award that lists every winner, and a league or ladder adds a season winner and a sportsmanship award. We design all of them from your club crest or tournament logo in acrylic, wood and metal. There is no minimum order, and a design proof is approved before anything is produced.

A small number of awards, each one kept

A tennis tournament hands out far fewer awards than a team sport, and the people who win them tend to be members of the same club for decades. The awards end up on a mantel or behind the bar in the clubhouse, and they are looked at for a long time.

That is a good reason to design them. We build from your crest, your club colors and your lettering, cut and printed in acrylic with wood or metal where it suits, so the award reads as your club’s and not as a stock piece with a racket on it.

See custom awards for how a piece is designed from scratch, and plaque awards for the honor board that hangs in the clubhouse.

An award list for a club championship

Start from the draws. Each draw produces a champion and a finalist, and doubles draws produce two of each.

Consolation winners are sometimes recognized with a smaller piece. Semifinalists rarely are at club level. Decide both before the draw is posted so nobody is surprised at the presentation.

The perpetual and the keeper

Most clubs settle on two pieces for each title. The perpetual carries every champion’s name and never leaves the building. The keeper goes home with this year’s winner.

The perpetual needs planning that the keeper does not: how many years of name plates it has room for, and what happens when it is full. Perpetual trophies covers both. A club with several titles often chooses one honor board with a column for each draw instead of five separate awards.

If the club has years of past champions recorded somewhere, gather the list before you ask for a quote. A new perpetual that starts with the full history on it is worth more to members than one that starts at this year.

Leagues, ladders and social events

League teams win as a team, so each player on the roster needs a matching piece, and rosters are often larger than the number who play on a given day. Count the roster.

Ladders and round robins run for a season, and the award is usually a single piece for the winner. Social mixers and charity tournaments want something lighter: a winning-pair award and one or two good-humor prizes. Funny award ideas has a list, and pickleball trophies covers the other game on the same courts.

What to send us

  • The club or tournament name and the crest or logo.
  • The list of draws, and whether finalists and consolation winners receive awards.
  • For a perpetual: the award name and any past champions to list.
  • The date of finals day or the awards dinner.

We send a proof of the full set for approval before anything is produced. Request a quote against that date. For school and league teams, sports award categories and names lists season awards, and the Recognition Library has pages for other sports.

Tennis Trophies FAQs

What trophies does a tennis tournament need?

A champion and a finalist award for each singles draw, and two of each for every doubles draw. Clubs usually add a perpetual that records the champions year by year.

Do doubles partners each get a trophy?

Yes. Each player in the pair receives a matching award, so a doubles draw needs two champion pieces and two finalist pieces.

Can the award use our club crest?

Yes. Awards are designed from your crest or logo and printed in full color, and acrylic can be cut to the shape of the crest.

Can a perpetual list past champions from earlier years?

Send the list of past champions when you request the quote and ask about it. Having the names and years ready makes it possible to plan the layout around them.

What are the tennis awards made of?

Acrylic, wood and metal, cut and printed in our shop in Carson City, Nevada. We do not sell glass or crystal awards.

Is one trophy too small an order?

No. There is no minimum, and a single club champion award is a normal order.
