Golf Tournament Trophies

Custom awards for company outings, charity scrambles and club events, designed around your tournament’s own artwork

Short answer

A typical company outing or charity scramble needs a matching set for the winning team, one award each for the contest holes (closest to the pin, longest drive, sometimes a putting contest), and a thank-you piece for the title sponsor. We design all of them as one family from your tournament logo, cut and printed in acrylic, wood and metal. There is no minimum order, you approve a design proof before anything is produced, and an annual tournament can reorder the same design so every year matches.

First, second and third place awards on wood bases with printed acrylic faces and cut metal numerals

Awards built around your tournament, not a catalog

Most golf outings are run by someone whose real job is something else: an office manager, a development director, a committee volunteer. The awards table is one line on a long list. What helps is deciding the award list early and sending it in one go, so the whole set is designed together and looks like it belongs to the same day.

Because our acrylic is cut to shape and printed in full color, a tournament award can carry the event logo, the charity’s mark or the company’s branding as the actual shape of the piece rather than as a sticker on a stock body. A foursome gets four matching awards, each with the team name and the year.

For how we design from scratch, see custom awards. For a larger set with the same artwork, semi-custom awards put your design on a stock body.

The awards a golf outing usually needs

Custom acrylic award icon

Winning team

Four matching awards for a scramble foursome, each with the team name, the placing and the year. Add second and third if the field is large enough to justify it.

Layered award icon

Contest holes

Closest to the pin and longest drive, often split into men’s and women’s. Smaller pieces in the same design, with the contest name where the placing would be.

Low gross and low net

For stroke-play events and club championships, one award for the best raw score and one for the best score after handicap.

Wall plaque icon

Sponsor thank-yous

A plaque or award carrying the sponsor’s logo, presented at the dinner. It is the piece that gets displayed in a reception area all year.

Medallion award icon

Perpetual champion’s award

One piece that stays with the club, company or charity and gains a name plate each year.

Pin and commemorative award icon

Good-humor awards

Most honest scorecard, most time in the sand, best-dressed foursome. One or two keep the dinner light.

An award list you can copy

This is a common list for a charity or company scramble. Cut it down for a small outing; very few events need all of it.

Typical award list for a golf scramble
AwardHow manyWhat goes on it
First place team4Event name, “First Place,” team name, year
Second place team4Same design, smaller
Closest to the pin1 or 2Event name, contest, year. Winner’s name can be added on the day or left off

Perpetual1Award name plus a plate per year

Contest-hole winners are not known until the round ends, so those awards are normally made without a name. If you want names on them, plan a plate that can be added afterward.

What to put on a golf award

Golf awards read best with very little on them: the event, the achievement and the year. A charity tournament should name the cause, because that is what the winner will be asked about when someone sees it on a shelf.

If the tournament has a number, such as a twelfth annual, put it on. It tells sponsors and players the event has history. More examples by occasion are in the plaque wording guide.

Perpetual for the clubhouse, keepers for the players

Annual tournaments usually settle on the same arrangement: one perpetual award that stays on display with every winning team listed, and a smaller keeper for each player on the day. The perpetual gives the event a history. The keeper is what ends up in someone’s office.

Decide how many years of plates to build in before the first one is engraved. Perpetual trophies covers plate planning and what to do when the award fills up.

If you would rather give every player something, participation awards looks at when that works, and pins are a small keepsake that fits in a player gift bag.

What to send us

  • The tournament name and date, and the logo in the best file you have.
  • The award list with a quantity for each line.
  • Any sponsor logos that need to appear, and where.
  • Whether this is a one-time event or the first of many, so the design can be reordered each year.

We send a design proof for the full set and you approve it before anything is produced. Tell us the date of the outing when you ask and we will quote against it. More guides for company and charity events are in the Recognition Library.

Golf Tournament Trophies FAQs

How many trophies does a golf scramble need?

At minimum, four matching awards for the winning team and one each for closest to the pin and longest drive. Many events add second place, a sponsor thank-you and a perpetual that stays with the organizer.

Can the trophies carry our tournament or charity logo?

Yes. Awards are designed around your artwork and printed in full color, and acrylic can be cut to the shape of the logo itself.

Can we add winners’ names after the tournament?

Team and contest winners are not known until the round ends, so awards are usually made without names. If names matter, plan for a plate that is added afterward, and tell us when you request the quote.

Is there a minimum order?

No. A single perpetual or one sponsor award is as normal an order as a full tournament set.

Can we reorder the same awards next year?

Yes. The design can be repeated with the year changed, so an annual tournament’s awards match from one year to the next.

What are the awards made of?

Acrylic, wood and metal, cut, layered and printed in our shop in Carson City, Nevada. We do not sell glass or crystal awards.
